After graduating from Kyoto University, Hirofumi worked at beBit Co., Ltd. before founding WACUL. He is from Kagawa Prefecture, the land of udon noodles.
Ryohei is also a graduate of Kyoto University. After graduating, Ryohei worked for the Boston Consulting Group and then joined WACUL after being invited by Hirofumi Otsu. He is a foodie, so Ryohei gets excited when he finds a great restaurant.
Mr. Tsusumi's hair is unkempt. At work, he is involved in all aspects of development from the front-end to the back end. In his private life, he is the father of two daughters. He likes walking, especially on hilly streets. He has been known to follow hilly streets all the way to Onomichi. When he has spare time, he likes to bake bread and dream of becoming a baker.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he worked at beBit Co., Ltd. before joining WACUL. He was senior to Hirofumi at beBit. He is like an older brother, taking other employees out for drinks at all kinds of restaurants. He likes a game made by Enokido, a programmer at WACUL, and is working on getting the top score through a methodology he strategized himself. He utilizes those strategic skills at work as well.
Mr. Mieno is the luckiest employee at WACUL. At work, he manages the design team while creating beautiful designs of his own. He came to the company from Fukuoka as its first headhunted employee. As a Kyushu native, he thinks and acts quickly, but he shows his softer side with a lunch that is always packed with vegetables.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Ms. Fushimi started working for a major bank, but then changed gears and started working as a website architect. She wields courteous customer service and a straight-talking style as weapons. She is a morning person and the first to arrive at work almost every day. She likes fish and birds and eating greasy food, and always livens up when the topic of conversation is animals or fried chicken.
Mr. Sato is a designer from Kyushu. After leaving a web production company, he owned an e-commerce site before joining the company on a part-time basis. After one month, he was hired on as a full-time employee. Mr. Sato is a quiet man who chooses his words carefully, but when he speaks his words are sharp and to-the-point. The chivalrous blood of a Kyushu man flows through his veins. He is trying to get his weight down to 65 kg.
Enokido is a straight-laced and sincere programmer. The "ji" in his name, "Kenji" means "two," because he is the second son in his family. His sincerity comes out in his normal development work as he fastidiously conducts detailed tests. He has an extraordinary sense of style and at meetings to decide product names everyone ask for his opinion. He likes lemony sour flavors.
Mr. Yamada is a programmer from Sagamihara/Sagamko. His motto is, "things will work out." He very open-minded in appearance and on the inside as well so his friends and coworkers can depend on him too much sometimes. He likes coffee, natto beans, and soba noodles. If you get to know him, he might treat you to a delicious coffee. He has recently taken up riding around on his bicycle with an SLR camera.
MGR. SALES REP
Mr. Kojima graduated from the Keio University Faculty of Economics and worked as a passionate real estate agent before joining WACUL. He is a salesman with a tough, street-smart style. He plays guitar and sings punk rock in a band. He is also a sportsman, having played soccer in junior high school and high school and American football in university. Even though he was a goalkeeper, he was unusually good at heading the ball. He uses his outsized personality to promote the business with full force.
Ms. Hibino worked in Nagoya as a seminar lecturer. She was scouted to work at WACUL by Hirofumi, who noticed her blog about Google Analytics and access analysis. She takes advantage of her wealth of knowledge for WACUL's blog and seminars, too. She likes cute things, including the AI Analyst character. She is addicted to the band "Hello! Project," but she doesn't have any friends who want to go to concerts with her so she is looking for some.
Mr. Hayashi entered WACUL immediately after graduating from the University of Tokyo. He has a calm appearance and attitude and became a prominent employee immediately after being hired. When he was younger, he wanted to be a novelist, but now he has been taking advantage of his writing ability to be a web architect.
He is the heaviest drinker at WACUL and will go anywhere as long as there is alcohol there. He is very active despite his shyness; as a student, he started a cram school and hosted a SSB tournament at his school festival.
Ms. Sawada is a go-getter designer whose work has been exhibited on a number of design gallery sites. With her constantly high spirits she is able to bring a sense of calm to any situation. She has a strong sense of style, even among the WACUL designers, and although she is already quite a strong designer, she is now shifting her focus from Fireworks to Photoshop. In her private life, she works daily to learn how to cook her favorite foods.
Mr. Hasebe worked at WACUL for about a year while he was a student at the University of Tokyo. He worked at another company temporarily, but could not forget how he felt at WACUL and came back immediately. He is in charge of technical support for the AI Analyst. He was a club leader as a student, so he is quite popular and he brought in and cultivated many of the part-time workers at WACUL from the University of Tokyo. He likes music and plays the timpani and piano.
Prior to joining WACUL’s data science team, Ihara was an undergraduate student at The University of Tokyo with Economics Major. Even though he is the first freshman in the Data Science team, the time he has spent with WACUL is the longest since working as an intern.He loves reading books, especially history, since he was in history study group in junior high school and high school. Despite his indoor characteristic, he is quite active that he was running school festivals in The University of Tokyo as a committee member.His motto is to make a significant contribution to the company without making his hands dirty, which is someone like smart and prudent Shogun in Japanese history.We believe he is the caliber we have been waiting for who will lead the company in the future.
Ms. Iwata is in charge of WACUL's accounting. She supports the company by taking advantage of the experience she gained from working in a tax accounting office. Her hobbies are ikebana flower arranging and salsa dancing. She is an excellent cook who even brought gyoza dumplings to her own welcome party. Her recipe for Spanish Omelets received 700 "tsuku-reports" on Cookpad and has made it to the top of yahoo search before.
Mr. Imai was a junior employee to Fushimi at the bank where they both worked. He was also below her in the same department of their university. He used the muscles he grew on the University of Tokyo football team and his (somewhat run-down) University of Tokyo brain to start working at a major mega-bank, gradually climbing the corporate ladder, but then he abruptly shifted gears. Although he is blessed with excellent physical and mental capabilities, his true strengths are his ceaseless smile and modesty.
After graduating from the Musashino Art University, Ms. Kuroda worked as a product photography stylist before coming to WACUL as a designer. She honed her web design skills while working as an illustrator for WACUL. She speaks softly but springs to life when she drinks Japanese sake. Her private life is going well recently, too, which can be seen in her cheerful spirit.
Mr. Akiyama is generous and people see him as a cuddly teddy bear. One part of his work is to code accurately and in detail as a front-end engineer. He has installed the HTML and CSS conventions in his brain to handle all kinds of work. His family home is on a tea plantation, so he might treat you to some delicious tea if you get to know him. He likes watching trains and going on outings with his family.
Mr. Itatsu is from Yokohama. He studied philosophy at Kyoto University. He likes Frege and pasta, and even though he's fashionable, he's also an active gentleman who plays tennis in February. He may not be good at reading the mood of a situation, but he is still full of compassion. Though he might not seem like the type, his dream for the future is to own a house with a garden that has violets in it. As WACUL's first philosopher, he is bringing in a new perspective on our data science and technology.
At 145 cm, Ms. Uesugi is a small giant in the world of the web. She provides value to customers with her knowledge on a broad range of web topics, such as SEO, advertisements, and GA. Her biggest source of trouble is that she can only wear children's sized shoes and gloves. She likes to drink and is lively at parties, so she is a rare staff member who comes to 100% of the office parties. Her favorite drink is the highball. She is good at singing, but for some reason the karaoke machine's scoring system refuses to acknowledge it. She loves drinking tea from paper cartons that are always filling the company refrigerator.
Mr. Ito is a former senior to the CTO, Mr. Tsutsumi. He has rich experience and knowledge about system infrastructure, and is always quick to solve problems. He supports WACUL's infrastructure and network. With his inquiring mind, he learned how to program almost without realizing it after trying to find the solution to various problems. He has played first-person shooters for over 10 years, but his reflexes have started to worsen recently. He likes curry because it is easy to chew.
Iwamoto is a graduate of Ritsumeikan University and a human resource representative of WACUL. If you ask her why she went to Ritsumeikan University, she will respond that it is because she is a huge fan of Atsuya Furuta, the bespectacled former baseball player. She may be a vanguard figure in the popularity of men with glasses. She used to work in operations for a human resource firm, but she joined WACUL because she wanted to work in human resources instead of operations.Recently, she has been attending kimono-wearing classes with the goal of becoming a master.
Ms. Maruyama is a promising young talent who was scouted by Mr. Otsu, our CEO, who fell in love with her sales capabilities. She is decisive in taking action and has a strong desire to succeed. She always says "I want to become important." Having put together the WACUL girls' club, she aims to serve in a leader-type position for the ladies. Having noticed that there are many fan of the Hello! Project at WACUL, she is apparently planning to create a Hello! Project club next.
Ono is a passionate man who loves basketball. His greatest strength is that he honestly speaks his mind. He is originally a theory-based physicist studying quantum computers, but it seems that he recently became hooked on artificial intelligence. If you would like to become closer to this man who is active and aware of trends, joining the deep learning study group is recommended. We have high hopes that he will be successful as WACUL's theory heavyweight.
Takeshita is a marketing representative who cheers everybody up with her polite way of speaking and bright personality. In the past, she has been tasked with managing an overseas branch of a venture company, so she possesses strength of mind and a powerful drive. She loves animals, and perhaps because she is too accustomed to communicating with animals, she has a habit of using her distinct eye contact to send a pleading look.
Abumiya has a last name that may be difficult to read. He joined WACUL through an invitation from Hayashi, who was his classmate at the University of Tokyo. He single-handedly manages marketing for the AI Analyst. He always has "stories that are not boring" ready, but it troubles him that these stories are not met with much interest. A good example of one of his "stories that are not boring" would be when he was dumped by his girlfriend who promised to take him to Disneyland, his tears left a mark shaped like Mickey Mouse on the pillow. His interests are the outdoors, his face looks like Evgeni Plushenko, and his personality is fantastic!
Ishimaru served as the director of web production at a design company after graduating from the University of Tokyo, but joined WACUL through an invitation from Hasebe, who was her club mate in college. Using her University of Tokyo educated brain and her broad-ranging web knowledge, she helps improve our clients' sites. She has a deep love for the SoftBank Hawks and celebrity idols, and once she starts to speak about their allure, she cannot stop. She shines in karaoke by singing anime songs.
Daime, who is a public relations representative, utilizes her rich knowledge and experience in public relations to handle plans and promotions aimed at the acquisition of placement in newspaper, web and magazine articles. As a student, she was a backpacker and now she is striving to become a sommelier. This might make her seem pretentious, but she is actually very likeable and easy to talk to. Hirayama graduated from the faculty of law at the University of Tokyo. He was a high school classmate of Hayashi and during his college days, he would often go scuba diving with Mr. Kakiuchi. At a young age, he worked as a project manager at a major securities house, but he joined WACUL as a result of the passionate invitations from the 2. Although he is normally calm and collected, he suddenly changes when he grabs a hold of alcohol or games and constantly laughs loudly.
Suzuki is born in Chiba Prefecture. Winter, snowboarding, summer is a speed demon to drive around a wake board every week. However his passion for machine learning was reignited, and he decided to join WACUL. He is very positive for his life and becomes very excited before releases. He loves candies of pine apple (He always has it on hand) and ICE BOX (summer-only).
Takahashi is like a sweet older sister to the other members of the consulting team. She worked for a credit card company for 10 years and was in charge of web marketing and involved in launching and driving new services a lot. With much of knowledge in analysis, user behavior survey, UI designing, which were gained through her previous work expierience, she helps AI analyst users. In her personal life, aside from being a mother, she sometimes visits New Caledonia to enjoy diving as a hobby.
Nakajima had studied mathematical programming approach to truss topology optimization in the University of Tokyo. After that he worked in image processing in manufacturers, but he decided to join WACUL because he wanted to study and work hard in his twenties. The key factor to join WACUL is the calm and humble atmosphere of the members. With his hardworking attitude and passion for programing, he brings greater vitality to the data science team. He dose not like green peas and pickled radish very much.
